This unit is about preparing for CCS. There are 4 items for prep:

1. Case Materials

After CCS you’ll be writing up a case study as one of your graduation requirements. During CCS we’ll practice this, so please think of one of your recent clients and gather materials such as any SEIs they’ve taken.

Note: it may be that you can complete your case during CCS, or it may be that you will create a totally new case after CCS with a new client. During CCS we’re practicing this way of thinking about a client’s growth.

2. Re-SEI

Approximately 30 days after CCS, we will ask you to retake the SEI to look at your EQ growth over the course of EQCC. If you (somehow) have not taken SEI in the last 2 months, you could also take the SEI now in prep for CCS. Please contact your facilitator for a link.

.

3. Harvest of Reading

It’s time to finish reading your Jenny Rogers’ book (Chapters 11-14, pages 223-289)

And, from all of your reading for EQCC — or other reading and study on coaching — find one specific technique, method, or process that you identify as particularly useful. Create a handout to share with each person in CCS where you:

Why: State why this is important

What: Identify the technique and cite the source (this could include a quote or excerpt from the reading or instructions on the technique/method/tool)

How: Explain how you see using this, or how you have been using this.

Include your name on your handout so classmates can ask you about it. We’ll use these at various points during CCS to support our pair/small-group coaching practice.

.

4. Binder

Please bring your BINDER from CCI. We’ll be providing materials for CCS that we’d like you to add into your binder (if you prefer, you can leave the CCI contents at home and just bring the empty binder 🙂
